Guyz

This site discusses health issues related specifically men who have sex with men. Just like any man, gay and bisexual men may come into contact with a variety of health issues and problems. There are just as many health problems for gay men as there are for heterosexual men. Men who self identify as gay experience obstacles such as homophobia and may feel uncomfortable going to health care providers. They may not know if a doctor is willing or able to help them in a safe and comfortable manner. Gay youth are affected even more, because it is often tricky to find a health care professional who is approachable and sensitive to a gay youth's needs. Because of their young age, youth may feel because they have no physical signs of illness they do not need to see a health care provider. This site provides stories on how youth found health care providers that they felt comfortable with as well as information on STI prevention and testing.
